JCJR Posted August 2, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2008 I just got off the 4 day Sky and there are no formal nights. I only saw 1 guy wearing a tie. I did dress in slacks and dress shirts a couple of nights but there were a lot of shorts. It was mostly casual.

DAGVBSB Posted August 2, 2008 #7 Share Posted August 2, 2008 There are no mandatory formal nights on ANY NCL ship for any cruise. There is a "dress up or not night" but only about 50% of the passengers will dress up and that will range from tuxes down to shirt & tie. (even lower percentage on shorter cruises.) The rest will be in "resort casual." (polo shirts, kahki pants, tennis shoes.). Jeans are allowed in all dining venues except for one of the two main restaurants. (Crossings on the Sky.) Shorts are not supposed to be allowed in any restaurant (only the buffet) on any night on NCL, but it appears that NCL is not really doing a good job at enforcing that rule. (it is very hit or miss.)
