3 Reef Snorkle by Boat - Carnival

Hi, All. I was curious if anyone has done this excursion through Carnival.

I have snorkled in Cozumal before but now I am ready to go to the big boys' reef, Palancar. The ship gets in too late and leaves too early for many of the independents' trips.

But Carnival has this excursion listed but when I sopke to someone at the Carnival excursion desk, they did not have any details as to what reef they visit. If it isn't the one I want, I might as well go the independent route and pay less and still not see Palancar.

Anyone been on this one before?

I posted this on the Cozumel forum so sorry if it is a double post.

Thanks.

Keep in mind that even if you get on an excursion that goes to Palancar. There's always that chance the weather or some other condition could cause them to go to an alternate site. I've had that experience my self.

Good Luck!

Too bad you're locked into a ship excrusion. They're often (nearly always  ) overcrowded, and Coz has many first rate independent operators.

To answer your question, most boat trips include drift snorkels over Palancar and Columbia. It would be a major bonus if the third reef is Punta Sur. Punta Sur was fantastic, but it's probably out of reach for a ship snorkel trip.

With a ship's tour, my guess is the third will be the reef just off Dzul Ha.

6:30AM - 4PM probably does eliminate most of the locals. Any snorkel trip's better than none. :)
