day stay hotels

Anyone know of a beach hotel in Playa or Akumal where we can spend the day, have lunch, do the beach etc?

We did this thru Island Marketing. The place their excursion went to was Grand Coco Bay Resort. I believe it was about $50 per person which included all non-motorized activities, beach, pool, food and drinks for the day.

 

Looking back though, we booked this right after we booked the cruise. After I already booked I started reading threads where you can do this on your own and it would have been much cheaper, especially if you are not big drinkers.
