Constance331 Posted August 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2008 I just read through the first timers/referrals thread. Now I'm not sure if I would qualify to use a referral coupon, or maybe I should just stick to the Amex credit I would receive by paying with the platinum card.... As background, I'm a solo cruiser taking my first SB cruise sailing in March '09. I've been booked since August '07, and my final payment will come due 11/26/08. Using my Amex platinum card to make final payment would give me an OBC of $150 (half of the $300 allowed per cabin). Fine. It seems, though, that since the credit for first-time SB cruisers would be $200 (again, I only qualify for half since I'm solo), it would make more sense take the coupon over the credit card offer. My question: can I still use a coupon, even though I'm already booked? Or are they to be used only at time of booking? Thanks for any insight. I'm very excited to be trying Seabourn for the first time.
marazul Posted August 12, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2008 They are to be used before your final payment.
Bluewatercruizer Posted August 12, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 12, 2008 I was just able to send in a referral coupon (thank-you, Marja!) after my final payment had been submitted-- I had my TA contact Seabourn and verify that was okay. We did notify SB that one was on its way prior to final payment. I recommend you talk to your TA (if you are using one) and see if they can check on this for you or call SB directly. They were very nice about it. Marga
