Does anyone know how long it takes to get from the port to the airport? We have a 9:45 a.m. flight on a Friday. Ship gets in at 4:00 a.m. Do we need to arrange transportation ahead of time, or are there taxis waiting? How much does it cost. Thanks for your help. :)

Journey between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 mins depending on conditions. For your flight you should be at airport by 07.45 leaving ship at 06.15 should be fine. alyhough there will be taxis it maybe safer to organise transfer in advance, then no worries. :)

I would definitely arrange for transportation from Civ. I don't think the trains run that early, and, with disembarkation, etc., you probably won't be able to get off the ship before 7:30-8:00 am. Tell the purser that u have an early flight, and show the tickets. Also, u will be charged double for the taxi, b/c in Italy, they charge u what it costs to get back to their point--in other words, it will be more expensive for a taxi to the airport from Civ b/c u will have to pay for the taxi to get back to Civ.
