Anyone take a train to the Dali Museum in Figueres?

Trying to get some info on train schedule/costs to Figueres from Barcelona. We are staying at the La Meridien in Las Ramblas area, and would like to know which station to go to, and how far it is from our hotel. Also, how long of a train ride it will be each way. Any info is appreciated!

We did this last Sept. and found it to be a very enjoyable day trip. The museum is fantastic and Figueres is a very pleasant town. We had lunch at one of many cafes.

 

The train takes about two hours depending on the train. You can get schedules and fares at www.renfe.es. In the bottom left corner of the homepage is a drop down menu to select language (seleccione su idioma).

You then select departure and arrival stations and dates from drop down menus. The trains start at BARCELONA SANTS, one of the main stations, but also make a stop at PASSEIG DE GRACIA which is an easy walk from Placa Catalunya. It is actually a metro station where some Renfe trains stop. Your hotel can direct you there.

 

I do reccommend this if you have a day to devote to it.

jwds~ Thanks so much for the information and website. Sounds like a plan to us! We have three days in Barcelona prior to our cruise, so having lunch at a cafe after visiting the Dali museum sounds perfect.
