What are the advantages and disadvantages of an Alaskan cruise in late May 2005?
Primary advantage is the lower cost. Your disadvantage may be that some tours/shops may not yet be open/at their best at such an early point in the season.

It's in the high 50s-low 60s...so don't worry asbout it being to cold.

Cruised last year to Alaska in May, It was wonderful! Clear Skies, Cool temps! We were fortunate enough to go to and SEE Mt Mckinley and Denali, the weather was perfect there also. Currently living in Florida, we wore long sleeve shirts w/ a pull over sweater and we were very comfortable- even on the landing on Mt McKinley on Ruth Glacier. Saw all kinds of wildlife except the bears catching the salmon. Enjoy and have a wonderful cruise to Alaska!
