katiecoos Posted September 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2008 Can anyone tell me whether I would be able to use my Hair Straighteners in my cabin.
chrisaf Posted September 23, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2008 If your talking about a flat iron - yes - you can bring them and use it in your cabin. Obviously just be sure to check it and be sure it's turned off after use.

Rock Chick Posted September 29, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 29, 2008 I always take my straighteners on cruises. If you're using an adapter, you may have to turn them up to a higher setting than usual though because of the different voltage. I also use my straighteners for 'ironing' clothes, as you're not allowed to take an iron on RCI cruises. They're great on trouser legs, sleeves, some dresses and smaller tops. In the USA you can buy a spray called Downey Wrinkle Releaser from supermarkets such as Walmart (similar to our Asda - you'll find it with the fabric conditioners). If you use this to spray your creased clothes, then use the straighteners, you get just as good a result as if you'd sent the clothes to be pressed on board the ship but without the cost :) Carol
