Rhapsody - Port Douglas, Australia Tender

Would anyone have any information on where (approximately) the Tender location is in Port Douglas ? Looking into booking an excursion direct with a (Snorkel Only) Operator to the Outer Reef. Thier location is on Wharf Street. We are trying to determine if the excursion (which departs at 8:30-8:45 AM and returns at 4:30 PM) is a possibilty for us. The Rhapsody is scheduled to arrive in Port Douglas at 8:00 AM and Depart at 5:00 PM.

This is just our opinion... we wouldnt even contemplate taking this tour as the timing is far too close. If it was a RCCL tour then ok, you would be covered and the ship would wait for you. Because its not, and going by our other cruises, I am assuming the last tender would leave the wharf before 4.30pm. The cost to get a port authority boat out would be enourmous...I'm talking of an excess of AU$1,000 maybe more.

Port Douglas has a very tiny interesting compact Main Street Waterfront area and all the charter ie dive/reef tour boats leave within where your tender would arrive.

 

Given the fact that the local tour operators would get very excited about so many new tourists are in town from a new untapped source ie Rhapsody.I would think that by checking with the local tour operaters will definately tailor their tours to suit your sailing.Just send off some emails to get it right.
