manatees and sargents caye

anyone done this type of excursion before? I think my DD would love the the manatee's. Are they free swimming or will it depress me to see them in pens?

They are free swimming and well protected. If they don't want to see you, you wont see them. It is an awesome tour but It is all from the boat and the operators are restricted on how close they can get. So it is hit and miss. You can find tours that offer other stops as well as the manatees.

thanks so much for your answer! So many times the dolphin swims or pet the shark things just break my heart. I think I may look into booking this type of trip.
