Is Food Available for Purchase on the Train?

We have booked the Panama Canal Railroad Journey by Dome Car. According to the excursion information, the tour last 7 hours and they only mention a snack being served. I, unfortunately, can not last 7 hours without something to eat. Does anyone know if food is available for purchase while we are on the train or do we need to take some with us?

A friend of mine said to take food and snacks. We are taking this in Dec. so will follow their advice!:cool:

Thank you :) Guess we will have to do likewise, not too thrilled about having food and water. :(

We did this trip in Feb 07. We brought snacks and drinks with us. Thank goodness as "lunch" as they called it then, was a small pkg of Pringles and some crackers. I think there was a soda too.

 

We brought fruit, granola bars and other small snacks. Then we always bring water bottles with us.
