falken Posted October 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2008 I wanted to purchase $2500 in OBC with my credit card prior to sailing to cover all expenses, including the casino. Can purchased OBC be taken out as cash in the casino? I know the BonVoyage order form has an option for OBC and another for Casino Chips/Tokens, but I wanted a general pool of money to cover everything. If anyone has purchased OBC and was able to use it in the casino (take out an advance at the cage and it comes off your credit amount) please let me know! Thanks! If I understand you correctly the OBC is actually a purchase you made prior to sailing, correct? If so, yes, you can use it anywhere as it is just a pre cruise purchase and you paid full price for it, if it is a promo rebate type, given by the ship, no... pj-n-bob Posted October 29, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2008 I believe so, we did so on the Pearl. We had several family members give us OBC as 25th anniversary gifts. One member specifically asked if the OBC could be used in the casino. The answer given was, yes, as long as it was gifted/purchased OBC. Was told that OBC given for TA/NCL promotion could not be withdrawn as cash for casino. Others may have had different experiences, but we had no problem. OceanDreaming2 Posted October 29, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2008 My PCC just confirmed that any UNUSED on board credits are forfeited. They are nonrefundable. Are you sure you're going to use $2500 in credits?
