victoriasmommy Posted November 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2008 So DF, DD (1 1/2 right now) are planning a cruise either taking advantage of the low last minute prices or for DD's 2nd b-day in May. I've browsed the boards and Carnivals "sleep over" doesn't appeal to me. I read somewhere that Royal, NCI and Disney all have in-room babysitting. I would LOVE to have a few hours with DF alone, maybe just 1 or 2 nights.. Don't mind having Victoria with us in the day..... and she wouldnt be happy with me dropping her off at only 2 year old at Camp Carnival.... I read a few reviews that weren't too great about Royal Caribbean. I wasn't looking for bad news, but kept finding it. Starting reading up on NCI..... and loved everything I read. Great deals!!! like the lowest deals for last minute pricing....also the freestyle dining sounds so great. DF is not into putting strangers through our DD possibly not behaving through dinner. BUT.. ive just read somewhere else that NCI doesnt have inroom babysitting?! must i resign myself to NCCL boards?
maryln Posted November 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2008 There is no in-room sitting, but the Kid's Crew is great. It's free from 9AM to 10PM & $5.00 an hour from 10PM to 1:30AM when the ship is at sea. They don't change diapers so they'd notify you on a beeper when it's time for that. They give them light snacks. Parents take their kids when it's time for a full meal. http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/cruiser/cmsPages.html?pageId=FreestyleFamilyFun
