Misleading sale by Celebrity

Celebrity has hit new "advertising" lows. Last week I received an email stating that if you book a Jan or Feb cruise this Wed-Fri, the second person is half off.

 

Yesterday checked the rates for Jan and Feb cruises in Australia on the Mille. Outside cabins were about 1099 to 1199. Half off the second person would yield a cost of about $1800 for 2 plus taxes and fuel charges. Today on the website the Jan cruises are $2119 per person. If you get half off the second person, the total before taxes is $3,179. What kind of deal is that?

I suggest you phone Celebrity or your TA and ask which cruises qualify for this offer. It may be just specific cruises...

I have the email offer. Only one or two cruises are excluded and not any of these. And why would the price jump $1000 overnight on 4 separate 14 day cruises? They have been at the same price for several weeks.

Just wait until next week; maybe they'll double the price again and let the second person cruise free! :cool:

I just priced 04JAN for an outside cabin - $1099 for 1st, $549 for 2nd, plus taxes and fuel.....18JAN is $1199/$599....01FEB is 1199/599....15FEB is $1299/$699......looks good to me!

The pricing you are referring to (1099) is available today with 50% off available for the 2nd guest as mentioned above. I just checked it and it is available on the Mille on most all of the dates in Jan and Feb.

50% off second person, i.e., happy hour, sales is not available on celebrity website. You have to call in or call your TA and specifically ask for happy hour special
