California Lighthouse

Can you take a public bus from Oranjstad to the lighthouse? We want to do the 1/2 day ABC jeep tour but it does not include the lighthouse. We don't want to take the all day tour that does include the lighthouse. We really want to go the lighthouse though and spend some time in town and maybe on a beach. Any suggestions on our day on the island? We will be there 8am-8pm.

There is a public bus that you can take which runs down the strip past most of the resorts. I do not remember the number of the bus. However, it does not run all the way to the lighthouse. At the end of the bus run you would have approximately a 1/4 mile walk to get to the lighthouse itself.

 

The central bus station in town is just a short walk from the cruise ship pier.
