Neilius Posted November 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2008 Someone earlier on this board was asking about QE2 videos earlier today. Here's a link to a post I just submitted on the Cunard Board about a video I've just uploaded. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=17111977#post17111977

I enjoyed it so much that I watched a second time. The canal is so different to what I thought it would be.. Is it wide enough for ships to pass in the opposite direction? Sorry if this is a silly question but I have never seen the Suez Canel before....:o

You'll see a strip of land down the middle and you keep to "lane" on the right :) Other places it looks like a really wide river, and ships keep to the right. There's plenty of room for every one. It's much wider than Panama. Neil

karmac Posted November 24, 2008 #6 Share Posted November 24, 2008 I always expected the Suez Canal to be pretty much the same as the Panama Canal. How wrong I was:p Thanks, Neil. It was me that asked for it :)
