Category 11 vs 12 on Carnival

Aside from the size, what's the difference between category 11 suites and category 12 penthouse suites on Carnival ships, specifically the Pride?

Thanks

Sheila

The bathroom is much nicer in the Cat 12 on the Freedom and Splendor and you get a lot more closet and drawer storage as well as a separate dressing room.

The size of the Balcony is also very much larger, I would say twice as big on the CAT 12.

Also, on the CAT 12 you a a much larger seating area.

We have only booked Cat 12 for the last few years, but the last CAT 11 we booked it was very small.

We love the CAT 12 and often have breakfast on the balcony, it is a real treat waking up and sitting out on the balcony eating the FREE room service continental breakfast.

The aft wrap 11s are great: separate bedroom & livingroom and that great wrap balcony. But be careful, some don't have the separate rooms.

We always book aft wrap cat 11's.....gotta love that balcony and the seperate rooms;)

Traveling Bob is right about being careful.....but only on the 5th deck. Deck 4, 6, 7 & 8 all have the seperate rooms, only deck 5 has one large room....but it is real nice too:D

Either way, you will love the cat 11, which is not that much smaller than the cat 12, IMHO:)

We stick with the 12s due to the room, location and balcony size. I've never stayed in an 11 and those are not bad either, but to me tend to by more shoe-boxy than the 12s. It is a very personal choice on what you like in a cruise and some would see 11/12 as a waste of $$$. To us, we like spending time in our room and the extra dimensions are part of our experience. Good luck with your decision and realize it will only matter to you once you decide.
