zippybossrock Posted November 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2008 I'm on the 1/26 Inspiration sailing with 5 girlfriends. My cabinmate didn't want to do the pre-paid gratuities, which acording to Carnival must be done on a per cabin basis. My question is....when I get on board, can I have the gratuities just charged to my Sign&Sail card or will I have to pass out envelopes to everyone?
quickrate Posted November 29, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2008 No worries, the grats. are automatically charged to your account. You need to do nothing. Alot of us do tip extra at end of cruise to those who give us great service. That is when we hand out envelopes!:D
zippybossrock Posted November 29, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted November 29, 2008 Thanks for the quick reply. I was hoping it worked that way. On our first cruise in May we did the prepaid gratuities and also tipped extra at the end. We were really impressed with the level of service provided by just about every staff member we encountered. Grats are always the first thing listed on the Sail and Sign. If she wants to do cash, she will have to go to the purser's desk to have them removed. Have a great cruise! I spent 9 days on her from Oct 30-Nov 8, and she has an absoultely fabulous crew. She's a smaller, "older" ship, but she's in great shape and like I said, the crew is fabulous.
