Can our boat dock?

Hello... okay, silly question. I have read in some reviews that our ship has to tender passengers out because the pier was damaged during a hurricane. Is this true? We have booked a private tour, and were told if you booked thru the ship, then you would be the first to get tendered to the island... anyone else has to wait till later. Thanks!

Just there in November and no damage at the St. Maarten pier.
