Horizon question

I heard something about the Horizon being refurbished. Is she currently sailing or is she in drydock somewhere?

Just got off her yesterday (Friday) We were on for the repositioning cruise, Norfolk to Tampa...

The rumor mill has her either scheduled for drydock next fall or being sold, we won't know what happens to her until RCI makes an official announcement. In the meantime, she's sailing 10 and 11 night Eastern/Western itineraries for the winter.

She is not being refurbished until after next years Bermuda schedule and if all hold up to what I've read in some British papers, she is being transfered to Island Cruises to serve the British market. So sail now or miss the boat

I sailed the Constellation in June, the QE2 four times in the past four years, and just got back from the Horizon with PQ and Tuggers.

 

I thought it was a great boat! Just big enough to get you there, just small enough to let you meet people more than once. Some said she was showing her age. Well, I am "Old" too, so she suited me just fine.

 

If you have the chance to sail her this winter, GO!

We leave on 11-29 for 11-nights.

Tuggers....how did you get the balcony? The onboard specialist on the Connie told us they would only book that cabin for three occupants. We were on the Connie in Oct., depending on when you booked...maybe the policy has changed.

Just curious....did you hear of any changes in the pricing policy? Did it seem as though the bookings have suffered? The Connie had 150 empty cabins, but I am not sure if that is normal for that intinery/time of year.
