Pre-cruise and post-cruise Vancouver Hotel

Getting in very late Friday night before our Saturday Alaska cruise. Any recommendations for reasonably inexpensive hotel to get some sleep and convenient for a few hours in the city and easy access to the cruise terminal. Six of us, so any hotels with a shuttle service would be good.

 

And we have a full day in Vancouver post-cruise. Any hotel or sightseeing recommendations?

If you are looking for a reasonably cheap hotel, we stayed at the Barclay on Robson St. It is very basic but okay for one night. You have to take your luggage upstairs as there is no lift but reception did offer to carry our bags up for us but we declined the offer. Great location, we got a taxi from the airport to the hotel but the airporter bus does stop right by it and we used it to return to the airport the next evening. We were able to leave our luggage at reception for the day while we enjoyed the walk to Stanley park which was very handy too.:(
