RCCL Indy vs NCL Pearl

Looking into a spring break vacation for next year... I know way far off :p

I do have a son and expect there to be alot of kids on board but wanted to see if any of you seasoned cruisers might have any input for my two cruiselines of choice.

I have cruised with RCCL and loved it. But never w/NCL

We are looking into the 7 day Pearl Eastern route Samana, St Thomas, Tortola and Great Stir-up Cay vs 6 day Indy Western route Cozumel, Belize and Costa Maya.

We would like to try NCL and it's itenerary but have read so many negative reviews. Reguarding food and service quality. Are the two equal and I am just easier to please or is NCL less to polished?

RCCL/Navigator was a blast, but we are not as excited about this itenerary with the Indy.(just the ship itself)

Thanks in advance,

Patty
