Time on ship same as time on the island?

We are on FOS on RC in a little more than a month. We are going to go on a stingray city/snorkeling excursion. I am not sure yet which company we will go with - but am looking at a few since finding this board. (questions about that are a whole other post! :p)

I think the ship keeps EST the entire cruise right? Since our home port is Miami, we just stay on that time??? Is that the same time as Grand Caymen? So when the excursion says it starts at 9:15, is it really 9:15 on the ship - or is that 8:15 am ship time?? 9:15 is a perfect time, but honestly 8:15 is a little earlier than we would like. We are on vacation and want to sleep in a little!!

Thanks for the help! :D

Thanks for the information! We will be there March 16th and are going to see the Stingrays with Moby Dick Tours. Hope we have enough time to enjoy the beach after.

This year, Daylight Saving Time is on March 8. So until then, they'll be in the same time zone as Florida. After that, they'll be one hour behind (central time).
