Touring Miami from Ft. Lauderdale

We are staying at Embassy suites on 17th one day pre-cruise in Feb. Did the water taxi last year around Ft. Lauderdale. This year would like to go to Miami for the day.

Is there a boat/water taxi that will take us there? Cost, etc.? What are the "must see/dos" in Miami?

Water Taxi runs the South Beach Express. Cruise from Fort Lauderdale, pickup at the Ft Lauderdale Grande or Hollywood at the Diplomat, two Miami ports of call: Bayside Marketplace or South Beach.

Thank you Bequia...I knew you would have info. as you have helped me in the past. It looks like this won't work for us as we fly in on the Sat. at 10am and the boat leaves at 9:30am.

 

Do you know if there are any land tours/buses that we could take to get to South Beach? Or how we would do this on our own.
