Southall Posted November 15, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2004 Does anyone know if there is handicapped parking at the Tampa Port and if it is free or not? We have sailed out of Miami and Fort Lauderdale and have enjoyed the free parking at those ports. At Lauderdale, you have to be transporting a chair to get the free parking. Also if anyone has any information on the Celebrity Horizon, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Benita Posted November 17, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2004 Hello, We are sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday. You mentioned free parking - I know they have handicapped spots in the garage, but I thought you paid the same as everybody else. Where is there free parking? robseat Posted November 17, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 17, 2004 Handicapped parking in Ft. Lauderale and Port Canaveral are free IF (and ONLY if) your vehicle has adaptive equipment (lift, hand controls, etc.) So is probably same deal at Tampa. A handicap tag or placard is not sufficient to get the free parking. (I'm not sure but think this might be a state regulation.)
