4PM canopy tour?

I have booked a place on the 4pm canopy tour, but am wondering whether this was a good idea:

Is the 4pm "ship time" or local time? sunset is at 6.30 local time, which I believe is 5.30 ship time. Am I correct in this assumption?

I htink we will be zipping from about 4.45 to 6.15 - how dark will that be?

Will the bugs be out in force at that time in the rain forest? I am a mosquito magnet, and come out in large blisters where they bite me.

Anyone done this tour at this time of day?

I can only answer one of your questions, but I'll give it a shot. It's 6:50 pm right now and the sky is still light, though darkness is falling rapidly. At 6:15 there's still lots of daylight, and of course the days are getting longer now.

Regarding mosquitoes, just use bug repellent liberally and all over your body; wear long pants & sleeves you can roll down. Bring Benadryl cream in case you do get bitten. I've never been to La Marquesa, though, so I've no idea how ferocious the mosquitoes might be :p.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!
