Celebrity Summit Transatlantic: Which Side and Balcony Value

Hi Everyone --

I will be traveling on the April 18, 2009 transatlantic sailing from San Juan to Barcelona. I have a couple of questions that I hope you can help me on.

Which side (port or starboard) should I book? Right now, I have #6022 booked, but I am not a "sun" person. I like shade and was wondering if booking on the other side of the ship would be better for both port views (most of the ports we will be approaching will be on the left side of the ship) and the north side would surely be sheltered from the sun, or since the balconies are deep for this stateroom, it won't matter?

Of course, there is no perfect solution. I am thinking that even though it may be sunnier on the south-facing side of the ship, it might be less windy? The north side is probably windier?

Also, my next question has to do with the balcony itself. Should I downgrade? The transatlantic crossing won't really give me much to see, esp. at night, and possible windy and cool conditions may make spending the extra money wasteful?

Your experienced thoughts are most appreciated!
