iluvdoxies Posted November 22, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2004 Had a great time, felt like we were "home"=-it was our 3rd time on the Glory. Saw a lot of crew and bartenders that we knew from the previous times. Victor, a bartender who works in the casino bar and piano bar makes a killer cosmopolitan!!!! First night I told him I like then strong- well he sure did---I dont think there was much but a hint of cranberry in them. We did the eastern route and I must say it was the roughest cruise we have been on---from the first night till we got to ST Thomas--much rocking and rolling and up and down movement---barf bags were out the whole time. A lot of excursions had to be canx in Nassau as wellas St Thomas due to weather conditions---no rain--just wind and seas that were about 10-12 feet... The shows were also canx due to the weather. Not camplaining here, just saying how rough it was---very few people in dining room Mon night= between St Thomas and St maartin--still rough! On the way back though, we had pretty much smooth sailing. It was our first time cruising with John Heald and he was very good-----we had the chance to speak to him a few times and he is quite charming and very funny. NORMAN, and ROBERT gave him your regards.....John had a ball with the bedtime story. Food was excellent, had early seating- all the meat was very tender- loved the deli on the lido deck for turkey sand. My husband likes the fish and chips. Forgot to say the productions shows were held--just not on the skd. nights--one night they canx the show- they showed a movie ...... We had booked an 8a gty and that's what we got--no prob= 6212 very forward- so we got our exercise. Ron, in the piano bar rocked!!! He was so much fun and it was pretty crowded in there every night--Victor and another bartender, Ricky worked there each night and they made sure we got our money's worth from the drinks= lol I hated them each morning, but loved them each night. movtarget Posted November 22, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2004 Looks like you may have actually been over the backstage area, instead of the actual showroom. I'm trying to anticipate whether sound from below will be an issue (in 6255 1/15/05). Jeff
iluvdoxies Posted November 22, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted November 22, 2004 We heard no noise at all in our cabin- we slept in each am and quiet then also. One night- Wed night- we were really tired out from the sun, etc and went to bed early and no noise then either- Hope you have a great cruise!
