Can I make my excursion on time?

We are arriving in Cozumel at Carnival's pier at 8 am local time. Our snorkeling excursion of choice leaves at 9 a.m. local time, and we probably have to be there 15 minutes early. The excursion is a 10 minutes taxi ride from the pier. Can I make my excursion if the ship arrives on time?

 

In other words, how soon after the listed arrival time can I be off the boat and on my way?? We will be on the Glory if that makes a difference.
