Hi to all,

We are heading out for the Solstice on Sunday for our 1st cruise and are very excited. I need some help however from the more experienced cruisers on this site. We will be in St. Maartin for a very long time, and I want to make the most out of our time there. My DH and I have always loved catamaran/snorkling days in the past at different islands so we are considering on taking the Golden Eagle tour. The problem is that we will have to totally miss out on all the island tours that I have looked at because the times conflict. My question is whether we would be really missing out on something special if we didn't take some form of island tour while in St. Maartin? We will have time to do some shopping on our own in Philipsburg in the morning before the catamaran sets sail around 1pm. I'm really not sure what to do on this island and any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks Cheryl:)
