New to Carnival Questions

This will be our first Carnival cruise and my son's first cruise ever. We live in Florida and he wants to take a cruise to the Bahamas for his 15th birthday.

My questions are:

How is the Sensation?

Is is okay for a 15 year old?

Do they have a 24 hour buffet?

Can you ask for twin beds when you book online?

Should I get a balcony?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Sensation is a fine ship,,they have a huge water slide/tube,,,putt putt,,,pools. No 24 hr buffet but pizza/deli is 24/7. Also room service is any time. There is ALWAYS food somewhere on the ship. You can also take food to your room and eat it latter,,,,we did get some nice subs from the deli and ate them on the way home!Balcony,,extra money,,up to you.You get 2 twins,,,room service will split or keep apart for you.

As far as the balcony goes that is just a personal preference. If you think you would use it enough to justify the increased cost then you should get one. If you don't think you'd use it much, save that $$ and spend it doing something fun, go with an OV instead.

The only food 24 hour is the pizza on lido deck. The buffets are open for extended times at breakfast lunch and dinner. There is a free limited room service menu. At about 11:30pm there usually are light snacks on lido deck. They have done away with the midnight buffets. All carnival ships are great for kids.

The lido deck grill was open at 1am on the Triumph every night in January.

Got a burger or hot dog every night.:)
