Rewards Program

Can anyone tell me what's the best Disney Rewards Program out there? We're thinking of taking the family to Disney World (maybe the Dinsney Cruise) end of 2010 and looking for a way to rack up some easy points/dollars towards the vacation. Haven't been to Disney since I was a kid so this will be the first time planning a big vacation. It just all seems so overwhelming (just starting the research now) and trying to figure out what's really a good deal. Thanks for any advice you may have.

Yep - the Chase Disney Rewards Visa is a quick and easy way to get points. The points are good to pay for a trip to WDW, Disneyland, or on DCL, or to use for food, souvenirs, etc. on a trip at Disney owned/operated locations (theme parks, cruise), or you can even use them to go to Disney movies, at the Disney Store, or for Disney merchandise at certain locations (Walmart is one). We use our Visa for everything possible and pay it off every month. We can easily earn $200 a year, and I know some people earn so much that it makes that look like chump change!

The Disney credit card issued by Chase gives you dollar rewards for certain amounts spent on the card each month. You can use the dollar amounts both in the parks and also the cruise. Hope that helps.:)

There are other cards that give you rewards that you can spend anywhere. The Capital One card being one. The Chase reward card (the points card, not the credit card,) when issued has an expiration date that will kill rewards dollars transferred to it but not used.

Just let your points accumulate until about a month or two before your trip. Then transfer them to a points card.
