Casey2 Posted March 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2009 I have some questions about bidding for hotels on Priceline or Hotwire. We are looking for a place to stay 2 nights pre cruise. We are interested in a hotel that is clean, comfortable and not noisy. Does not have to be overly fancy. Do we bid on a 3 or 4 star hotel? We are considering the Sheraton. How do we recognize it to bid on it? Several posts have mentioned to get a room that faces away from the lounge or nearby bars. Can you request that on Priceline or Hotwire? Relayer4 Posted March 29, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2009 You asked a couple loaded questions. I recently posted this info for another person asking similar questions about Priceline and Hotwire. I think it's very important to familiarize yourself with how each works. People use Hotwire because they can narrow down a particular hotel. I personally use Priceline because I can always get a room for less than what Hotwire offers, although there's no guarantee of which hotel I will get. If you really want the Sheraton, then Priceline is not the way to go. I suggest looking at the 2 following sites for help.
