Horseback Riding in Skagway

We will be cruising in mid may up to alaska and one of my sisters and I are interested in some horseback riding. There is an excursion offered. I was wondering if anyone has gone on those rides and if the ride is even possible around May 20th(meaning will there still be snow on the ground like it is sometimes here in Montana.)?

There are 3 horseback excursions available at Skagway. I haven't been on the one at Dyea but both the rides at Carcross are excellent.
