Cozumel in August, Paradise beach info needed

Going on the Carnival Legend to Cozumel this August. Did snorkeling last time. Want to do something different this time. Read reviews about Paradise beach. How much does it cost to take a taxi from the cruise dock for 5 of us. Does the taxi drop you off there and you try to catch another one back when you are done? Is it easy to catch one back from the beach? The $10 pp rent for beach stuff, what exactly is included that you can use? Do you automatically have to rent for 5 people or can you take turn using the stuff if we only rent for a couple of people? Has anyone have their Cozumel port substituted because of weather and if so, where does Carnival take you to instead? Thanks. Is there any other place in Cozumel that people would recommend? We prefer calm water and powder sand if possible.

The water and sand will pretty much be the same on most of the west coast beaches.. And when you pay the $10 for a wrist band it is for each person, so you can't share or not suppose to. There are kayaks, snorkle equipment, floats or mats, the water trampoline and ice berg climbing thingy and I am thinking they just got something new. There are other beach clubs Mr. Sanchos is nice as well as nachi.. but you can't go wrong with any of these. Have fun
