unionville3 Posted April 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2009 We are thinking of sailing the week of Thanksgiving on the Eurodam with a 9 year old. I would love to hear any reviews. He is most interested in the culinary opportunities for kids.
Willsot Posted April 21, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2009 We did not have children but on our cruise two weeks ago we heard a few complaints that the Club HAL staff and facilities were not suited for the large number of children on our cruise (reportedly 500 children on our spring break/week before Easter cruise). I'm sure that they are strained when there are untypical numbers like this. That being said, we passed the Club HAL area a few times and observed their activities and the kids seemed to be having a ball.
lmg1230 Posted April 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2009 We sailed on the Eurodam the week of March 21st with our two daughters who are 12 and 5. There were less than 200 kids on that cruise and both of my daughters enjoyed Club HAL. The five year old LOVED her counsellor and all the activities that they did. The 12 year old enjoyed herself, however, is at that awkward age where she is too young for the teen group but the oldest in the 8-12 group. In the 3-7 room we added our name to a list indicating our daughter's interest in the cooking class but it never happened. Not sure if they didn't have enough kids to conduct it.
