newbiecruiser2009 Posted May 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2009 I just booked a room at this hotel - Marriott is running a sale, I got it for $128 plus tax. We planned on a beach day in the Caymans and were leaning toward the Westin, then I got an email from Marriott announcing this sale - looked at the hotel on their site, read the reviews on TripAdvisor (surprisingly the most current reviews were postive, don't think that's ever happened to me LOL) I'm curious if anyone has every been to this hotel, or know the proximity to the port? All and any info is appreciated and welcome :)

bookbabe Posted May 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 19, 2009 It's on Seven Mile Beach, about the midpoint maybe...relatively easy to get to. Just take a taxi from the port area. I don't know if you'll get too many responses on the hotel itself, though. Very few people seem to bother to get a hotel room for the day when you can use the beach and facilities at sections of Seven Mile Beach like Royal Palms and Sea Grape for free... newbiecruiser2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted May 19, 2009 Thank you for your response. I wasn't quite sure where the hotel would be. I'm not a fan of swimming in too much saltwater - so I'm looking forward to using the freshwater pool at the Marriott. :)
lovintravelin Posted May 20, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 20, 2009 I stayed at this hotel about four years ago. It is wonderful! It has been hit by a hurricane since then. I know that they had to rebuild the beach. The pool area is nice. It is adjacent to the beach, but not very big.
