I'm also interested in the gym on the Paul Gauguin. I'm lucky enough to be on it for 2 weeks this summer and I'm concerned being around all that good food. Are there any organized exercise classes on this ship?

The gym does have all new equipment. The cardio equipment is great. The gym does have free weights and 2 weight machines. The idiotic thing is that both weight machines are for the back.

There are three treadmills, two ellipticals (all with integrated TV screens), a couple of stairclimbers, and some weight machines. By the end of the week, one of the treadmills was out of commission. One irritant: there was one woman who was in there one morning with all three of her under 10 year old daughters--all using cardio machines...
