Hours/offerings at Windjammer Cafe / MDR / Sea View Cafe

Recommended Posts

Following is info obtained from RCI website.

Was this your experience with the hours and offerings?

Is 730am the earliest that you can get a full breakfast?

What do you do for breakfast on early port days or early excursions?

Is the Windjammer open between 1030 - noon?

While they are just making transition from breakfast to lunch?

Or if you want to eat at 11 or 1130 in Windjammer, are you out of luck?

Do you have to get to Windjammer by 2pm for lunch?

No those hours aren't what I've typically seen.

Usually the Windjammer is open with full breakfast available sometime around 6:30am (I've seen it earlier, when we had an extremely early port day). They only closed for about 30 minutes between breakfast and lunch, usually from 10:30 to 11, and then for about 30 minutes in the afternoon typically something like 5:30 to 6pm.

Remember you can also get a hot breakfast from room service, starting fairly early as well.

I have only been on Radiance class ships, so cannot speak for all of them in the fleet, but I remember the WJ shutting down one side around 3 pm to set up for "afternoon tea and snacks" at 3:30, and once that was open the other side would close down to start getting ready for dinner.

We have gone to the Seaview Cafe several times for dinner on formal nights (we don't bring formal clothes, so we eat elsewhere those nights), so I know it was open around dinner time, on those nights at least.

The Seaview Cafe tends to have odd hours--they're posted in your daily compass....sometimes, they didn't open until 1 or 2 pm...

In the WJ, we've always been able to wander in between posted meal times, to get coffee, or cookies, fruit, etc....they may not have full meals in the warming trays, but it seemed there was always something to munch on.
