Colakid Posted May 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2009 Just off the MS Maasdam and we set two new firsts. We were the first cruise ship into the small sea port of Sept-Iles Quebec. We were the first cruise ship to use the new dock in Saquenay Quebec. On anothe note we were the first cruise ship into the seaport of Gaspe Quebec that season and the ice had only left 3 weeks before. Included is a link about some of these ocassions off the official HAL Blog. http://www.hollandamericablog.com/2009/05/28/sept-iles-quebec-welcomes-maasdam/ Congradulations to the crew and staff of MS Maasdam. We too were part of history. Colakid.
May4 Posted May 28, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2009 Hello there, new HAL friends. Yes, the people of Sept-Iles couldn't have been kinder or more gracious. That goes for the other far north ports as well. Deb and I are already looking forward to returning to the Maasdam for the spring repositioning cruise in 2011. Maybe we'll see you there.:D
