Texting on board

Recommended Posts

Texts depend on your tarrif with whichever mobile phone company you are with. When you are at sea you do lose signal though generally. Internet access does tend to be expensive, you get a log in and I have never had any problems getting logged on at a PC in the internet cafe- cant remember the price of the internet though sorry.

Depends which ship you are on, the Thomson Destiny has a GSM cellsite on a Satalite backhaul "cellular at sea" which allows gsm even out at sea, I used this for texting (cause calls are every expensive) and they seem to have come out of my inclusive allowence (i am on a o2 iphone tarrif) otherwise i think they are between 25 - 50p per text depending on tariff
