CCL Conquest 5/31 - Camp Carnival ROCKS!

I also posted this on the Carnival threads. I apologize for anyone that doesn't care to read it twice. Just though it would be good to share in each section.

I don't have much time for an in-depth review right now, but just wanted to say that we had more fun that we could have possibly imagined! I had read great things about Camp Carnival. My DD is 5 yrs old and spent each evening at Camp Carnival. I didn't realize until day 2 that they have a kids dinner. That was fantastic! We were able to drop her off at 6pm, where they fed her and took her back to the playroom for the rest of the evening. Meanwhile, DH and I could take our time getting ready for our very nice 8pm dinner, which DD wouldn't have enjoyed much. After dinner we would spend some time in the casino or whatever, and picked her up between 10p-11p. We did pay the extra fee after 10pm but didn't mind at all. They did lots of fun activities, face painting, etc. So it wasn't like we were just dropping her off for babysitting. She had a blast. And she sometimes attended earlier in the day if there was something on the schedule that she was interested in. But we mostly chose to have family time during the day. A lot of time at the pool!

We are fortunate that she makes friends very easily and isn't shy, so that helps a lot. We didn't pack any toys, only a few books. And she never even got them out.

Everything else about the cruise was great as well! Smooth on-boarding and off-boarding. Smooth tender experience in Grand Cayman. Of course, the excellent (but HOT) weather and smooth seas made it that much easier. Good food, clean rooms, etc.

All crew people were pleasant. Even outside of Camp, everyone made sure to greet DD and the steward addressed her by name when he would see us.

Cruise director was humorous and informative. We didn't care to attend any shows or activities really, other than those that were done on the lido deck.

I'll have a link to pictures eventually! Dropped my camera in the water at Grand Cayman! Fortunately the memory stick was spared and works in the camcorder for taking photos as well. And the camera wasn't expensive, so it wasn't terribly devastating. But I did freak out for a few minutes. LOL.

More later! Let me know if you have questions about our experience.
