Sky v. Gem

Question for all of you NCL frequent cruisers: What are the main differences between the Sky and the Gem? I cruised the Sky in October (my first time with NCL) and have now booked a Gem cruise. Just wondering if the balcony cabins are similar in size; can I expect the same thing pretty much in the way of food (not counting the extra fee venues); is the casino larger on the Gem; are there more scheduled activities??

Age is one of the biggest differences. Balcony rooms are much nicer in my opinion both in decor and that the Gem has a full sliding glass door. Yes, the menu's are the same on all ships although NCL is in the process of changing them now. If I am correct, they are implementing different ships at a time.

Gem is bigger, be prepared for some funky colors but you get used to them quickly. Really enjoyed the Gem, also have been on Jewel and they are identical except one more floor of rooms on the GEM, Gem also has blue Lagoon, a cute little place for great soup, and fast food like stuff.
