any wisconsin cruisers???

Just out of curiosity, we are cruising out of Miami and plan to fly from Milwaukee to Miami or FLL. Have any of you gotten better deals to either of these places. We will be flying from Milwaukee rather than Chicago for two reasons-1. can't rely on the weather in March and would rather drive about 70 miles than 120. 2. someone can take us and drop us off more easily. Any guesses on what is the best rate I could hope for, I know it depends on the fuel cost but are there any savvy prognosticators out there?

We live about 40 min from MKE but always go to Chicago for Miami's lowest prices. Non stop. Never have paid more than $230 with taxes even in peak months. We have used the Coachline bus to Ord several times when we have "reasonable" flight times. We used a shuttle that picked us up at home too. Especialy when we'll be gone two weeks or more, parking at ORD is ridiculous. We like staying at the Rennaisance Hotel (a few min. from ORD) the night before and leaving our car there. VERY convenient, excellent hotel and you can get it for $99 on the right day which includes parking.

 

If you don't want to do Chicago, the rates will be higher in MKE for sure. However, look to new flights to FLL and Miami with some of the new airlines adding flights in MKE.

 

You really are early in planning flights...unless your dates coincide with spring breaks.

 

Go to sidestep.com and do a search for the flights showing from MKE.

I live in a suburb of Milwaukee. We usually fly into FLL. The rates are cheaper than MIA. The difference in cost usually covers our hotel and transfer. (We are a family of 4)

 

We usually fly in 1 to 2 days before just in case it snows.
