Carryon baggage on train Seward to Anchorage

I hope someone can help with my question, which is what exactly is there room for on the train from Seward to Anchorage (or vice versa, we just happen to be going that way)? I understand space is very limited, but will anything fit? We will traveling with laptops and I am loath to leave it in my suitcase during the transfer process. My carryon bag, a rolling briefcase, will fit under my legs, one advantage to being short. Can I bring it on the train with me?

There is some storage room underneath your seat. I was able to store my fully stuffed duffel bag and had enough room for my wife's carry-on canvas bag. Your roller brief case should easily fit under your seat. I believe there was some very limited closet space but it was full by the time we boarded the train.
