Things to do in Tampa

We are flying in on a Saturday and don't go on our cruise until Monday. Any ideas on some reasonably priced things to do in Tampa? We are staying at the Mainsail suites by the airport. Any reviews of this hotel? Also our cruise ends on the following Saturday and we don't fly out until 6 pm. Is there anything to do at the airport? We are a limmited on things to do that day because of our luggage but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:) Just a last minute thought. What is the easiest way to get around in Tampa. The hotel we are staying at has a airport and 3 mile radius shuttle but is a cab the best option after that?

People who stay here say it's nice. It is close to the airport and next to the freeways where construction has been going on recently. You don't want a building facing the freeways. The 2B/2B are supposedly very roomy. Not a lot of things in the immediate area. You could take a cab to the Westshore Plaza mall south of the airport (ask the hotel if their shuttle goes to the mall, may be out of range) if or even into Ybor City nearer the crusie terminal to find activities. But without a car, you're limited.

The Mainsail says they do frequent trips to the International Mall and the Westshore Mall

Either one could work. I suggest you see which one has the restaurants you might enjoy more and maybe stores you'd like to browse through that you never see in your area. International Plaza does have a martini bar. The hotel may assist any other night life in the immediate area.
