Sandysurprise Posted December 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 19, 2004 We are considering the Jolly Roger cruise in January. Does anyone know what beverages are served onboard? Is there a food buffet as well? The cruise line brochure doesn't comment on food. The Jolly Roger website describes 'lunch cruises' but doesn't specify if identical cruises are done for the cruise ship excursion. Any information would be helpful. Keta Posted December 22, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 22, 2004 The ship's excursion is just a "cocktail" cruise. We did this several years ago and had a ton of fun. It is definitely a party, so if you're not into partying, you might not enjoy it. They served soda, beer, and wicked rum punch. We were warned to dilute the punch with 7-up, and those that didn't heed that warning paid the price later! It was only a 3-hour excursion, so we were able to eat after we got back to the ship. The Jolly Roger is an afternoon deal. We figured to have lunch on the ship, then get down with the mutinous crew. I heard from friends that this was one of the best excursions. figmentdj Posted March 25, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2005 We are also considering the Jolly Roger. If the ships excursion is cocktail only, if we go directly through Jolly Roger will we get the lunch cruise? Their site says $44 includes lunch. Princess says $49 with no lunch mentioned. Suggestions?
ndavis7515 Posted March 26, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 26, 2005 We did the Jolly Roger through Princess last October. No lunch served. Had a great time. Got to jump off the gang plank and also stopped at a beach.
