Port Day in San Juan - Something Different?

We will be in San Juan for a day on our cruise in July. We have seen old town, rain forest and not looking for a beach day.

 

Is there anything interesting we can do that might be a little different?

What do you like to do- are you active/adventurous, or would you prefer gardens etc? Do you need transportation or will you rent a car?

 

There are companies that offer hiking/rappeling/ziplines, or even rock climbing. There is also a new place in Caguas with a rope challenge, paintball, go carts etc.

 

There is an underwater helmet walk in SJ.

 

There are gardens in Rio Piedras and in Caguas.

 

Pinones is a nice way to spend some time- walk or bike along the boardwalk or even kayak in the lagoon. Then a nice waterfront meal.
