sharmca Posted July 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2009 Our Azamara cruise recently changed it's itinerary from Waterford to Cork. Unfortunately Butler buses/ecoach is not putting a bus on for our day in port. Does anyone have any other suggestions for our day in port which would include a trip to Blarney Castle? Chester & Brewster Posted July 25, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2009 You could do it yourself. Train to Cork Kent Station from Cobh - check out http://www.irishrail.ie for prices & times. Then it's a short walk across to get the No. 224 bus to Blarney. It leaves from Merchants Quay (outside Dunnes Stores) http://www.buseireann.ie will give you more info. It costs €10 to get into Blarney Castle.
Poohb Posted July 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 25, 2009 Did you contact Butler's or are you going by their website. Maybe they don't know about the change of port and might want to accommodate the ship.
sharmca Posted July 25, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted July 25, 2009 Yes I contacted them. They will only have private vans that day.

banditoo Posted July 26, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 26, 2009 Did you try ecoach? They do a trip to Blarney. Have attached their link. http://www.ecoach.ie/blarney_bus_tour.php
sharmca Posted July 26, 2009 Author #7 Share Posted July 26, 2009 Unfortunately ecoach isn't running a tour that day so will probably try the train/bus as suggested earlier.
