Red Sea Cruise Nov 09

Hello All. We are going on our first cruise ever in November09 on the Thomson Celebration to the Red Sea. Really looking forward to it all. I have only just started looking at the forums etc, but can anybody give me an idea of how much the excursions will be to Petra or Cairo etc. I have been into the local travel agent and they said I will have to wait until we get on board. Hi Big Tone,

We are also going on the Red Sea cruise in November. I understood when making an enquiry that the details of the trips would come with the tickets, 7-10 days prior to departure. It is our first cruise as well, also can't wait for the off! On another page I have read November 2008 somebody took a taxi from Aqaba to Petra + entry for £40 instead of £70. The Luxor trip was £72. When on an official excursion there is a convoy with police outriders. Possibly safer to attempt the official ones?
